About Us.



The Houston Co. Fair's purpose is to promote the education and welfare of Houston Countians and its youth through our annual celebration of our heritage, culture, and community.

The Houston Co. Fair, Inc. strives to meet these goals by providing educational experiences, and friendly competition in a wholesome environment. The Fair is a charitable event, which provides educational events for both youth and adults. The Fair's objective is to aid the community through the advancement of agricultural and consumer sciences, as well as provide an opportunity for participation in cultural arts. The Fair also attempts to lessen neighborhood tensions, by bringing the community together for an area-wide event. The Fair will also strive to erect and/or maintain public facilities for education on horticultural and agricultural subjects as well as for recreation enjoyment.

The Houston County Fair Board meets the first Thursday of the month at Traditions First Fair Grounds at 5:30pm.
We invite those who have an interest in participating to join us at any of these meetings.
As time gets closer to the Fair date we will meet bi- weekly & weekly.
